Afro Brazil Arts (ABA) is thrilled to present it's 2nd Annual Showcase on Friday March 15, 2019 at LATEA Theater on the second floor of The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural and Educational Center. The showcase will celebrate Brazilian Culture, Capoeira, Maculelê and other Drum and Dance forms, featuring spectacular performances by master performing artists, accompanied by talented students and teachers from the New York Mindful Capoeira Center. Proceeds from the event will support ABA’s Mindful Capoeira programs for Children, Teens and Seniors in the NYC area.

About Afro Brazil Arts Inc.
Afro Brazil Arts is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire wellness, leadership and community through Mindful Capoeira, made accessible to people of all ages and abilities. Since 1988, ABA has impacted of thousands of youth each year through classes and performances featuring Mindful Capoeira. ABA oversees the New York Mindful Capoeira Center in NYC’s Lower East Side where youth from three-years-old to adults practice year-round.
ABA’s Teen Leadership Program
Afro Brazil Arts welcomes your support to fund performances, workshops and classes for under-served teens in NYC high schools, scholarships for classes at our CAQ New York Mindful Capoeira Center and leadership training and development for program participants.
ABA’s Seniors Program
Afro Brazil Arts welcomes your support to fund performances for under-served seniors at NYC senior centers, to combat isolation and depression, and provide wellness and cultural activities with a supportive community.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No age requirements to enter. Must be 21+ and present a valid ID in order to consume alcohol.
What's the refund policy? Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
Tickets are nonrefundable. Your ticket may be transferred to someone else to attend the event in your place if you are unable to attend.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Your printed or electronic ticket (email or Eventbrite App) should be presented at the door to ensure ease of admission
